Mindful Journaling

Mindful Journaling is a monthly gathering centered around presence, reflection, and collective care. Held currently at the Free School at Red Emma’s, this space offers a gentle invitation to slow down, turn inward, and meet yourself on the page.

Each session begins with a short grounding meditation to help land in the body, followed by thoughtfully crafted writing prompts that explore both personal and collective themes. Topics range from inner healing and daily intention-setting to imagining new worlds and ways of being together. We write not to be perfect or productive, but to be honest, curious, and kind with whatever arises.

This practice isn’t about needing to be a “writer”—it’s about showing up as you are, with whatever you’re carrying, and letting the page hold it. Whether you're seeking clarity, expression, release, or simply a moment of quiet in community, Mindful Journaling offers a supportive and nonjudgmental space to witness yourself and others.

All are welcome. Please bring a notebook, pen, and an open heart. We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3128 Greenmount Ave, Baltimore, MD.
